Is the most iconic and popular cycling climb in Bogotá, serving as a weekly ritual for thousands of local cyclists. Located on the eastern edge of the city, it connects Bogotá with the municipality of La Calera.
Distance: The standard climb from the Belisario checkpoint (Calle 82 with Carrera 7) is approximately 6.4 to 6.6 kilometers long.

    -Elevation Gain: It features a total ascent of about 382 to 415 meters.

    -Altitude: The climb starts at roughly 2,600 meters and reaches a summit altitude of 3,000 to 3,020 meters above sea level.

    -Gradient: The average gradient is approximately 6.3% to 7%, with maximum ramps reaching up to 10% in certain sections.

    -Difficulty: Classified as a Category 2 climb, it is considered a moderate challenge that is accessible for intermediate riders but still demanding due to the high altitude.

    -Atmosphere: On Sundays and public holidays, the route is packed with cyclists of all levels, creating a vibrant, "Tour de France-like" atmosphere.

    -The Summit: At the top, you will find a lively area with local vendors offering traditional Colombian snacks like agua de panela with cheese, arepas, and fresh juices.

    -Scenic Views: The road offers several viewpoints with panoramic vistas of Bogotá’s skyline.

    -Safety & Traffic: While heavily transited by cars during the week, it is very safe on weekend mornings due to the massive presence of cyclists and occasional police patrols.
